Goodness. December makes me glad that 2020 is over, though depending on how life goes I'm not sure if 2021 will be better? I'm at least feeling hopefully cuz I think I've figured out what I want to do as a "career"! It means more schooling, but I'm hoping that I can go back to the last college I went to. I really love it there and feel so cheated that the end of my senior year died... rip
ANYWAY. December. I had my surgery on my nose on November 20th, so I didn't work until 14th since I took three weeks off.
On the 2nd, I picked up something from a store that I never thought I'd buy... a fanny pack. It's IronDad and SpiderSon from BoxLunch and I'm akjsdfhksjdfh. I needed it. It was on sale from Black Friday and I got a discount if I picked it up in store. Worth it. There's not enough IronDad and SpiderSon merchandise. :')
December 5th was my old choir's Christmas concert and my online college graduation! I did a few job interviews early December because I was hoping to get a job online from home, but none of them panned out (except one possibly, and they told me to text if I accepted (which I did) and they never got back to me...).
On the 5th, my brother and I went to get our Christmas tree. Some of our lights were kinda dead, so I had to buy some new ones, which meant I decorated it on the 7th. My brother did help me some, and my dad helped with the original lights that we later had to take off rip.
On the 8th, I sent two Christmas presents and a card which turned into a whole fiasco. They made me buy 2 day and 3 day shipping... on the 12th, they were marked as "in transit"... They arrived from the post office to the local distribution center on the 24th. -.-'
I then got updates they were in transit basically every day. The present that went to Missouri went from MO to Kansas at one point, which definitely makes sense...?????? X'D
Finally present #1 arrived on the 28th, and present #2 arrived in Missouri yesterday on the 31st. I'm definitely going to try to get a refund on my shipping. It was like $25 total because they said I had to get priority, and then they didn't even make it there before Christmas rip...
The 13th was my 23rd birthday! In some ways it was sad just because we couldn't do some things we normally do and are basically tradition like seeing a movie in theaters, but it was still nice. We mostly celebrated on the 12th actually. My mom and I went to a store and I got some new clothes, and then my mom, dad, and I went to a restaurant called Charleston's! It's the first time we've eaten in a restaurant in a while...
On Sunday I went to Costco and got a cake. That night my brother came over, I "opened my presents" which there was only one thing I didn't know about (a necklace my mom bought for me), and we ate cake! My other brother and parents were there too. :)
My mom and I put up Christmas decorations at one point, and my brother and I put lights outside sometime before we got the tree... On the 14th I went back to work, and it was also my parent's (34th?) anniversary!
I spent a lot of time crocheting hats this month and last month... I made five hats as gifts, and I still need to make my dad's hat. I also have one hat that didn't make the cut, and one I guess I'm just keeping lol
On the 20th my mom and I took flowers to my grandma's grave. My mom and grandpa ordered poinsettias so she would have Christmas flowers there.
Christmas Eve... I asked off for that day, but I was still scheduled. I was up until... like 8AM or something??? Getting Secret Santa and Christmas parts done. I got like 3 hours or sleep lol and I worked from 12AM-6PM.
By the time I got off work my brother and sister-in-law were at the house and all the food was made. It was kinda sad because I normally help cook. We ate dinner (not keto this year, and unlike Thanksgiving lol), and then opened presents!
