Hair loss can have a profound impact on confidence, yet many women are told it’s simply part of ageing or encouraged to spend money on products that promise far more than they can deliver.

This week on my podcast, I’m joined by consultant dermatologist and hair specialist Dr Archana Rao @dr_archana_r_rao to discuss why hormones have such important roles in keeping our hair healthy, the medical conditions that should not be overlooked, and why getting the right diagnosis early can make such a difference.

We also talk about frontal fibrosing alopecia, an increasingly common condition that can cause permanent hair loss if it’s not recognised and treated in time.

If you’ve noticed your hair becoming thinner, your eyebrows disappearing, or your hairline changing, I hope this conversation helps you better understand what’s happening and where to find the right support.

Listen wherever you get your podcasts.
