Melody Dog was a Glasgow band formed in 1991 which consisted of Pat Laureate and future-Pastels member Katrina Mitchell and later joined by Aggi, also of the Pastels.
They released the Cassie 7" in 1992 on Seminal Twang Records and the Futuristic Lover 7" in 1992 on K Label. They also had tracks on the We Are Icerink compilation and the Vesuvius Records 10" compilation.

"Movin' On Up" is the opening track on Primal Scream's landmark 1991 studio album, Screamadelica, and stands as one of the defining alternative rock anthems of the early 1990s.
Written by band members Bobby Gillespie, Andrew Innes, and Robert Young, the song was recorded during sessions that bridged the band's garage-rock roots with the burgeoning indie-dance and club culture of the era.
