Mellieha is one of Malta's most attractive tourist and summer resorts with beautiful sandy beaches and blue sea. Mellieha has Malta's largest sandy beach, Ghadira, which is perfect for families with small children, as the water remains shallow for a considerable distance from the shore. Its elevated maritime position, being surrounded on three sides by the Blue Mediterranean Sea, gives it magnificent views all around.

The Red Tower or Fort St. Agatha was one of the seven towers built by Grand Master Lascaris. The structure consists of a square tower with four corner towers.
