Pinniped trainer Allison introduces us to Chacoda, the Atlantic harbor seal!

Chacoda is a 28-year-old male harbor seal, and he has lived at the Aquarium his entire life. One thing Chacoda is known for: his vocalizations! All Atlantic harbor seals use vocalizations to communicate with each other, but Chacoda has been able to shape his vocalizations into sounds that are similar to human words. Check it out!

$Sea Turtle Glow Up ✨ This sea turtle has come such a long way! “Tyche” was found cold-stunned on the beach this past winter, suffering from a chronic facial fracture of unknown origin. Tyche had significant damage to their face when they arrived, but is now nearly unrecognizable (in the best way). After months of expert care at our Sea Turtle Hospital, healing, and a whole lot of TLC, Tyche is looking so much better and is almost ready to return to the ocean! The name “Tyche” was given to this turtle as part of our Greek mythology naming theme this year.
