For this 2nd part we look at another of the home fleet. This time it's a Bachmann class 108 DMU, cat no:32-902 in BR blue grey livery. Running numbers are:54243(DMCL) & 53959(DMBS). The model features bi-directional head/tail lights, as well as lit destination boxes (though the lit destination boxes are a bit on the too bight side).
The model also has NEM pockets for couplers. It comes with continental style couplings for between the two cars, & tension lock for the outer ends. I've left off the tension locks for the time being.
The model also comes as DCC ready with both cars having a 8 pin DCC decoder socket. So two decoders will be needed if converting to DCC. The decoders i've used are Gaugemaster DCC26 small type.
The model also features a 5 pole can motor with brass flywheel. The motor is located in the guards compartment area of the DMBS car.
The model i've had since 1st release (2006), & up until last week not been run since 2008, a service & fitting of DCC decoders now brings it back into front line model fleet service.
