This is the story of two sons of a reputed crime boss, whose life of dating celebrities and social media flexing ran aground from outrageous violence, at home and after crossing the border into America. Let me tell you about it.

The Mob Reporter here with news of recent turmoil in the life of a gangster clan whose speciality, declares local tabloids, is breaking teeth with hammers. Alexandru Claudiu Pascu is a 24-year-old Romanian man better known at home as Marco Kalu, son of reputed crime boss Marcel Kalu. The patriarch is the kind of guy whose name is often preceded in the Romanian press by words like “feared” and “notorious.” But in Romanian, of course. The youngest son is Marco Kalu, his older brother is Franco Kalu.
The clan’s antics and escapades routinely make headlines at home in Bucharest, Romania’s capital with tabloid stories on who the sons are dating and who they’re no longer dating; who they’re fighting with and who they’re no longer fighting with; stories of feuds, fights, scandals, and an alarming number of references to breaking teeth. But when Marco Kalu fled to the United States, where he was arrested, their notoriety became international.

Alexandru Claudiu Pascu este un român în vârstă de 24 de ani, mai cunoscut acasă sub numele de Marco Kalu, fiul reputatului șef al crimei Marcel Kalu. Patriarhul este genul de tip al cărui nume este adesea precedat în presa românească de cuvinte precum „temut” și „notoriu”. Dar în română, desigur. Fiul cel mic este Marco Kalu, fratele lui mai mare este Franco Kalu.
Necazurile și escapadele clanului fac în mod obișnuit titluri în București, capitala României, cu povești tabloide despre cine se întâlnesc fiii și cu cine nu se mai întâlnesc; cu cine se luptă și cu cine nu se mai luptă; povești de vâlvă, lupte, scandaluri și un număr alarmant de referințe la ruperea dinților. Dar când Marco Kalu a fugit în Statele Unite, unde a fost arestat, notorietatea lor a devenit internațională.
