Izzy brings the sunshine with her wherever she goes. ☀️ At 6 years old, she’s biking, trying new sports and cracking jokes that keep her whole family laughing. But what you might not see is the strength behind that smile.
Before she was born, Izzy suffered a stroke that led to hydrocephalus. She’s had six brain surgeries before the age of 3 and now bravely navigates seizures — all while hitting milestones and lighting up every room she enters.
Her parents call her resilient. Outgoing. Unstoppable.
“She just always tries to do her best,” her mom says. And she does — with more personality than most of us could pack into a lifetime.
This year, @childrens_miracle_network named Izzy a 2026 Local Champion, honoring the courage of kids treated at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Through every surgery, every setback and every checkup, her family knows exactly where to turn.
