With assistance from the Boatman, Sir Dan finds himself crossing a perilous lake, where below rests the sunken town of Mellowmede. The ruins are home to all sorts of amphibious beasts, as well as precarious footing, and Dan must be wary of both as he reactivates the town's wonderous machines to gain access to their source of power: the crystal caves.

Gameplay of the 1998 video game _MediEvil_ created and developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (Cambridge) and published by Sony Computer Entertainment America for the PlayStation.
All gameplay was recorded from a North American (Black Label, SLUS-94227 94227) copy of the game running on a PlayStation model SCPH-9001 using the official PlayStation S-Video cable. Footage has been upscaled to 4K UHD (2160p) using the RetroTINK-4K for clarity.
The RetroTINK-4K is also being used to apply an exponential scanline effect in an effort to approach the appearance of playing on a CRT display; as would be commonplace at the time of the game's release.
