James Sunderland has received a letter from his late wife Mary and, filled with a strange compulsion to heed its words, has traveled to the quiet resort town of Silent Hill in hopes of somehow reuniting with her.
After taking a moment to reflect, James makes his way towards the town, passing through an old cemetery on its outskirts. There he meets a strange woman who warns him against potential dangers which lie in wait ahead. Disregarding her ominous premonition, James continues onward, but soon discovers just what terrors stalk the streets...

Gameplay of the 2001 video game _Silent Hill 2_ developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and published by Konami of America for the PlayStation 2.
All gameplay was captured from a North American (Black label, SLUS 20228, Ver. 1.20) copy of the game running on a PlayStation 2 model SCPH-39001 using a component cable from HD Retrovision. Footage has been upscaled to 2160p using the RetroTINK-4K for clarity.
