The Nephilim giants are usually treated as a strictly biblical mystery, but the oldest Navajo oral traditions tell almost the exact same story. In this investigation, Dr. Thomas Horn sits down with Dr. Don Mose Jr., a third generation Navajo medicine man, who recites legends passed down from his great grandfather about cannibalistic giants standing 30 to 40 feet tall, a reptilian deceiver with a halo, and a global flood sent to destroy them. These are stories the Navajo say they carried for generations before any Christian missionary ever set foot on the continent.
What makes this so unsettling is how precisely the accounts line up. The medicine man describes a first and second incursion of giants, human animal hybrids, and beings that came through spiral vortices, the same framework found in Genesis 6:4 and the extra biblical record of the Watchers and the sons of God. When Horn pressed for detail, the elder went off the official Parks Department script that claims the Anasazi simply migrated and became the Pueblo, and instead told the older account: that they were driven insane by a reptile with a halo and vanished.
