The Medicina Latina is an agave version of Sam Ross' Penicillin. The Penicillin pairs a blended Scotch whisky with a smoky Islay whisky whilst the Medicina Latina pairs a blanco tequila with smoky mezcal. A simple yet delicious riff on the original modern classic cocktail. The cocktail is featured in Sasha Petraske's Regarding Cocktails (amzn.to/3Viy25w).

- 2 oz (60 ml) blanco tequila
- 0.75 oz (22.5 ml) lime juice
- 0.33 oz (10 ml) honey syrup
- 0.33 oz (10 ml) ginger syrup
- 1 barspoon of mezcal
