Here's a test of how well the Rode VideoMicro works for keyboard sound tests. I think it works quite well!

The first keyboard is a Keytronic "Butterfly" capacitive foam & foil switch, with buckling rubber sleeves.
This board is super super quiet, and has a very solid feel. Yes, I had to replace most of the foams.

The second is an Apple Extended Keyboard, with Alps SKCM Orange switches.
This board gave me the best WPM on a typing test.

The last board is a DASKeyboard with Cherry MX brown switches.
This board has a very light feel... too light for my taste.

Recorded with an iPhone 7, and a Rode VideoMicro microphone. Audio level was turned all the way up on each clip in the YouTube Editor.
