The sukkah takes us back to our beginning as a people.

We were born in slavery, the ultimate vulnerability. And then entered the desert, where we had nothing. No food, no water, no shelter. And yet, in that place of complete dependence, Hashem provided everything: water from the well, manna from heaven, and clouds of glory to protect us.

In this reflection, Chief Rabbi Dr Warren Goldstein explains that the sukkah teaches us to embrace vulnerability, to remember where we come from, and to rediscover the faith that Hashem is looking after us.
