Makeupgate: Another day, another Gov. Palin scandal. Sarah Palin's makeup artist was the highest paid individual in Senator John McCain's presidential campaign during the first half of October. McCain-Palin paid Amy Strozzi, Palins traveling makeup consultant, more than senior staffers Doug Holtz-Eakin (economics), Randy Scheunemann (foreign policy) and Nicolle Wallace (communications). Contrast McCains Joe-the-Plumber, were-for-the-working-class message with the combination of the makeup expense excesses and Shopping-Gate, the lavish $150,000 shopping spree for Palins wardrobe, and you can begin to see why McCains campaign is imploding. Simple put, the campaigns message seems to be phony and McCain and Palin both appear to be hypocrites more than mavericks.
McCain has bumbled through the campaign at many turns, and picking a vice presidential nominee associated with multiple scandal Gates may not be the change that voters want.

![Spill Baby Spill Palin Blames Greenies
Washington, D.C. With the disastrous Gulf oil spill as a backdrop, Sarah Palin lies about her drill, baby, drill mantra championed by McCain-Palin 2008 and numerous Republicans including Rudy Giuliani and the entire 2008 GOP Republican National Convention. Palin is now claiming that she didnt mean offshore drilling which is totally opposite from the truth so much so that this example could be used to define lying.
From Media Matters: After lying about death panels, the Bridge to Nowhere, aerial hunting, and pretty much everything else shes known for, it should come as no surprise that half-term governor turned Fox News analyst Sarah Palin would lie about the mantra that came to define her ill-fated run for the vice presidency: Drill, baby, drill!
And lie she did heres Sarah Palin on Twitter wagging her digital finger at the Extreme Greenies regarding the Gulf oil spill: [S]ee now why we pushdrill, baby, drillof known reserves&promising finds in safe onshore places like ANWR? Now do you get it?
The message is clear: drill, baby, drill was never about dangerous offshore drilling like the Deepwater Horizon site, it was about safe onshore locations like ANWR. Except that it wasnt.
