We are BACK! Remedy realm, here we come! I figured if we were diving back in to eventually reach Alan Wake II, we needed to go further into the past and experience the verse in all its glory. Max Payne completely blew me away with its mix of gameplay, bullet time, graphic novel storytelling, and those special Remedy touches that make everything feel deeper than expected. And then there's THE STORY - what an introduction. Heavy, brutal, and important for a man who has nothing left to lose. Max is pushed to the edge and hellbent on revenge, which is a classic trope, but told through such a distinct Sam Lake lens. The Valkyr, Valhalla, Ragnarok, and Norse mythology nods were awesome and by the end I was psychologically reeling in the best way. Thank you so much for coming along with me for another adventure and I hope the wait was worth it 💛
