YALL - I'm not sure if I'd classify Prey (2017) as a hidden gem necessarily, but why don't more people talk about this game!!! Maybe I'm just late to the game and in my head 2017 was yesterday, but if you told me this came out in 2026 I would've believed you. This first playthrough already has Morgan Yu, the apartment simulation, January, mimics, neuromods, the GLOO Cannon, and the secrets of Talos I space station speaking directly to my nooks-and-crannies soul 🥹 The way the story is slowly fed to us, the soundtrack, the combat, the skill tree, the missions, and the environmental design all feel so ridiculously up my alley that this game is instantly shooting to the peaks of my love list. I hope yall enjoy coming along while we explore Talos I and thanks so much for sharing some of your time with me 💛
