Please be aware that the fresh green yerba mate is pure yerba mate, but the Dark Roast from Mate Factor is a a mix of roasted yerba mate with roasted barley, carob, and chicory root.
Regarding the green energy yerba mate from Mate Factor, it's one of my top 5 favorite yerba mates. That probably sounds funny, but I am a bit of a mate connoisseur. I usually drink organic yerba mate because I like to get the best quality; Mate Factor is Organic.
Mate Factor's green energy mate is one of the greenest mates I've seen; this applies to both the loose leaves and the tea after it's been brewed. It has a unique flavor, although you can tell it's yerba mate.
This particular yerba mate is processed quickly after picking the leaves and sealed in airtight bags to preserve its' freshness. When you open the bag, you'll see there's an inner bag that's hard, almost like a brick. When you open it up you can smell the difference between this yerba mate and most other brands. The word fresh is an accurate description.
