The two-year MA in Economics, Data, and Policy program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of economics, regardless of their prior background in the field, while equipping them with practical data analysis skills. This unique combination of expertise is highly sought-after in various professional roles, such as research or analyst positions at central banks, international organizations, consulting firms, and other private sector entities.
The program offers four specialization tracks:
Global Economic Policy
Research (pre-PhD)
Data Science
Finance
Each track is designed to equip students with the specific knowledge and skills needed to excel in their chosen career path.
By the end of the program, students will have acquired a robust understanding of economics along with techniques enabling them to draw meaningful insights from data. Additionally, the program focuses on developing students' writing and presentation skills, which are crucial for effectively communicating complex topics to various audiences. These competencies will enable graduates to deliver data-driven insights across diverse fields, including business, finance, policy, and research. With interdisciplinarity at the core of CEU’s teaching, students also have the opportunity to take elective courses from other departments.
