The X-Men have been the one aspect of the Marvel comics universe that has yet to be properly adapted in the MCU continuity. The Mutant Saga is likely to be the next saga of storytelling in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the multiversal ramifications of Kang the Conqueror leading up to 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars.' The Fox versions will be used to build up to the major Avengers films, with 'Deadpool 3' bringing back Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, and 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' introducing Professor X. Disney acquired the rights to Mutant characters and the Fantastic Four back in 2019. The only mutant characters we know of so far in Earth-616 are Namor from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' and Ms. Marvel. A new casting for X-Men characters like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Iceman is needed for this new era.
