Should I get a Lunch Box to compare it to?
I took my old Marui Big Bear out for a run on my track tonight. I'm running a 2S lipo here. It has the original mechanical speed controller and old school servos in it. Servos are powered by a separate 4,8V battery. THe motor is the stock M480-RS motor, which is a hotter 540 motor.
My first car was a Big Bear in the mid 1980's and it was great. I got it for christmas but can't remember the exact year. It sucked to not be able to drive it outside until the snow melted though. The only parts I ever broke were the bars on the bumper, the roll bar lights and the front body mount. I also wore out the mechanical speed controller. It looks flimsy but held up well to my abuse. The sound of the soft big tires flexing against the ground as it drives is very nostalgic.
