The song, originally titled "L'Amour est Bleu" was taken from the album "Blooming Hits" and was written and arranged by Paul Mauriat.
MARTIN BOETTCHER
Böttcher was born in Berlin/Germany . After the second world war the young Böttcher began as solo guitarist at Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk. In the year 1955 he wrote the music for his first film Der Hauptmann und sein Held (1955). Already his next movie Die Halbstarken (1956), was a great artistic success. He became one of the busiest composers for Cinema and TV in Germany. At the height of his career he made the music of 10 Karl-May-frontier-sagas in which actors Lex Barker and Pierre Brice were the central figures (1962-68). All in all Böttcher made the music for about 60 Films and some 100 television productions. He also wrote the music for the Winnetou" ZDF -televsion production which starred, once again, Pierre Brice.
Boettcher received numerous Awards for his work, both in Germany and internationally.
GUANTANAMERA
"Guantanamera" (Spanish: "from Guantánamo, feminine", thus "she from Guantánamo") is perhaps the best known Cuban song and that country's most noted patriotic song. In 1966, a version by American vocal group The Sandpipers, based on an arrangement by Pete Seeger, became an international hit.

Here is a true gentle and soft "dreamy" version of this world famous standard, played by Martin Boettcher and his musicians in that typical warm and melodic "Winnetou" style. Boettcher succeeds in creating a different "Guantanamera" - one that stresses the basic concept of the song, namely, that it is a love song or love story. Like in many other of his arrangements, here too one finds no disturbingly loud or harsh elements. The sound is smooth, soft and relaxing and invites the listener to "dream away".... Enjoy !
