1018 HANDLING
When new use Super Tech 30 lubricating oil or equivant 30 SAE ND. Cock it and get lube on the exposed spring and the slide surface.
Check the screws. Mine came loose in front after a few hundred shots and made it more unpredictable. Lightly tighten the screws, but know that is METAL on PLASTIC.
The micro screw on top is touchy, so be gentle and Loctite screw so it won't shake loose. Focus on large screws on nose, then backside for screws in trigger guard and screw in pistol grip and on back of slide area.
⚠️ NOT HARD ON TOP MICRO SCREW. THE MICRO SCREW CAN CAUSE PLASTIC TO CRACK. PUT THUMB ON TOP TO ENSURE MATING POINTS ALIGN.⚠️
⚠️ AVOID SCREW IN 1018 BUTT END.⚠️
I tried tightening a screw in the very back and it opened up a crack between sides. I rotated the screw back and it closed. You risk causing break if you keep opening up a seam there.
