I love my 7 string viper. This instrument was the first viper I ever built over 40 years ago. This is the mother of all the vipers we make. Growing up with my brother, Greg, a virtuoso cellist, helped develop a love for the lower range instrument. But, back in the 1980’s there were no “lower extended” electric bowed instruments anywhere…so, as I was developing and innovating electric violins in the late 1970’s, and and building the first 5 string electric violin in the early 1970’s, I always wanted more depth to my playing. And, with my patented self support system, I was able to comfortably play an instrument with 7 strings and still, to this day, after playing a bowed instrument for over 60 years with aggressive Rock n Roll..I feel no discomfort or strain! It truly is a miracle instrument.
