In this video, we continue the study of the first chapter of the Gospel of Mark in Greek. Mark identifies John the Baptist as the messenger sent by God to prepare the way of the Lord, as prophesized by Malachi (Mal 3:1) and Isaiah (Isa 40:3). Who was coming to be baptized by him? Why were they willing to travel tens of miles in the desert simply to confess their sins in front of him?
