The Jericho Connection | Mark 1:35: How a Casual Verse in Mark Foreshadows the RESURRECTION || The Gospel of Mark in Greek @thejerichoconnection3473 | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 5 hours ago.
We continue the study of the Gospel of Mark in Greek by analyzing Mark 1:35. Jesus has spent the previous day healing many people till late at night. He then stays at Peter's house to spend the night, but extremely early in the morning, when it is still completely dark outside, he gets up and slips out of the house to go pray in a secluded place. This sounds like a pretty common practice of Jesus, doesn't it? Well, there is much more to that. There are at least three hints that this verse is just not a simple casual remark. In fact, there are good reasons to believe that this verse indeed foreshadows Jesus' resurrection.
