In this video we propose a critique of the first 10 articles of the Westminster Confession of Faith, which was adopted by the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America in 1789. In particular, we will focus on the problem of the correct interpretation of Scripture. What is Scripture? How can we define Scripture? Do we need an infallible authority to determine the correct doctrines, or does Scripture interpret Scripture? Is sola scriptura a viable hermeneutical tool? And who is the supreme judge for all matters of faith? The pope, the magisterium of the Church, or Scripture itself?
