Not a run that I'm proud of, but ultimately a run that I'm glad I did. This is a brutal category, mostly because the only way to go fast is to kill, kill, kill your opponents as fast as you possibly can. I'm getting better at generating RBIs but still have a ways to go.
My feelings about the run follow.
What went well:
1st inning Mercy Rule Mario.
*Most* goals were on schedule, including Bowser/Jr. back-to-back HRs, which was in Yoshi (fairly early).
Didn't have to replay any matches.
8-ball Bob-Omb Derby is just fine.
I skipped Bowser Jr. K Mario in Mario, which is risky, but thankfully got that goal in the 1st inning of the All-Star match, effectively wasting no time.
What went wrong:
I didn't have Bowser Body Check going into the final game, which isn't my "fault" because I gave it a number of reasonable attempts before the final game and it's ultimately RNG, but not having it made the final match considerably longer than it could have been- I ended up getting it in the *7th* inning, disqualifying me from being able to end the match earlier via Mercy Rule.
I badly mishandled my batting lineup for the final game, putting Bowser Jr. 2nd behind Bowser (who was set up to repeatedly attempt Body Check). You should always, always, always put your designated MVP 5th or 6th in the lineup to maximize their RBI chances, so not only did I break that rule, but I also put Bowser Jr. behind a player that repeatedly risked getting out... I got Bowser Jr.'s MVP anyway, but it was a categorical mistake.
I could not Mercy Rule Peach, wasting a lot of time.
What was alright but could have gone better:
The Mercy Rules that I did get on Wario, DK, and Yoshi could have been considerably faster.
I lengthened Yoshi to try and lock down Bowser 2 HRs, which worked, but wasn't strictly necessary.
This will DEFINITELY not be my last attempt at Bowser, but it will be my last attempt for a while. I'm going back to Peach next, as it's my most improvable run at this time.
