I have finally managed to unlock Mirror Mode! It seems unlocking it in this game is a bit more convoluted due to the Free Roam mode. I tried seeing if 50 P-Switch missions was enough, but that didn't work out. Turns out I needed 10 Peach Medallions as well!

As soon as I get the 10th one, I complete the Special Cup in 150cc once again, and I finally manage to unlock Mirror Mode! With that done, I re-entire Free Mode to show off a neat new secret at Peach Stadium, reminiscent of Super Mario 64.
