Picking up from the last part, we head over to the Rust Syndicate where we battle a grunt (3:12) and Phillipe (5:12), who is the second in command. After talking to the head of the organization, Corbeau (10:15), he decides to have us work for him to get rid of Taunie’s interest. After exploring for a bit, there’s another strategy meeting (24:08), where there are three new rogue Pokémon: Mega Mawile, the new Mega Barbaracle, and Mega Ampharos. I meet up with Taunie to take on Mega Mawile (31:06) and obtain the Mawilite (37:43). I meet up with Lida to take on Mega Barbaracle (44:14) and obtain the Barbaracite (51:41). Night falls so I rack up some challenge points (55:05), not being able to get all 38,000 in one go. I have a rematch with Gwynn (1:17:21) so she can help me and Naveen approach Mega Ampharos (1:21:26). After defeating it, I get the Ampharosite (1:25:47).
With the rogue Mega Pokémon taken care of, we start doing odd jobs for Corbeau, such as taking care of some ghost Pokémon in an abandoned building (1:31:23) and clearing out a section of the Lumiose Sewer which was filled with Mega Crystals (1:37:55). The final job is defeating two members of the Lumiose Society of Battle Connoisseurs (1:47:35) who were bothering some kids. Afterward, we quickly help Taunie and CEO Jett (1:52:33) who are facing a crowd of angry protesters. With that, we have another meeting with Corbeau (2:01:49) who graciously clear out all of our interest, then it’s revealed out promotion match is with him! I get the remaining points needed for the challenge ticket (2:06:38) and immediately challenge Corbeau (2:13:20). With a victory, I go up to rank C (2:17:20), have the usual celebratory dinner, and Corbeau stops by at Hotel Z to stay the night. The next morning, he gives Taunie a 100.000 Pokedollar tip, which clears her remaining debt and shows that he’s a pretty nice guy. I save afterward.
