That's a whole lotta Mario in the title
I've been playing MKWorld for a little while now, and one of the first earworms I've gotten from it is this theme in particular. After hearing it a couple times online, I started to imagine what it'd sound in some other MK styles, one of them being DS. After I started trying to build it myself, I had to take a while to re-familiarize myself with MKDS's soundfont since it naturally sounds a lot more empty than what I'm used to, and there are many places where you can't really avoid having awkward silent gaps in an arrangement.
This is probably the first Mario Kart title that I've picked up on its launch day, and I'm honestly really glad I did, because it is a BLAST. They twisted the original formula even more than I expected, and it's packed with enough stuff that you probably wouldn't get through the whole game in just an afternoon alone even if you tried. I HIGHLY recommend that you experience the game blind if you haven't played or seen gameplay of it yet.
