Marilyn Manson is back with One Assassination Under God Chapter 2, released August 14, 2026, through Nuclear Blast Records. Two years after Chapter 1, the story continues and this time, Manson is presenting it as the conclusion to this particular chapter of his career.
But was it worth the wait?
In this review, I go track by track through all nine songs, looking at Manson's combination of gothic rock, post-punk, industrial textures, electronics, heavy guitars, and his unmistakable vocal style. I also look at how Chapter 2 compares with the first album and whether these two records work better when viewed as one larger project.
