Aussie Garage | Marco's Charger Interview: A Night Cruise Through Melbourne Streets @AussieGarage | Uploaded July 2024 | Updated October 2024, 52 minutes ago.
In today's Episode on Aussie Garage Interviews, we have Marco's VH Valiant Charger and then we hit the streets with Marco and the rest of Northern Gal's Car Club for a night Cruise through Melbourne.
Lets first check out Marco's 1972 VH Valiant Charger that he brought of the original owners son, which they had for over 25 years. When Marco brought the Valiant Charger, it was a sight for saw eyes and needed a lot of TLC because the paint liked chalky, interior needed updating and engine was very tired. So Marco made it his mission to update the VH Valiant Charger and given it new life, plus it was a labour love that he enjoyed doing.
The engine was original 6 cylinder, column auto but now its running a 360 V8 engine with 4 speed, which the previous owner did the V8 conversation with dedicated LPG fuel. He may have to reconsider shortly as Melbourne is losing gas in their state, so a revamp engine may occur again.
the body of the charger is great condition and the detailer at Benzina Stable did a fantastic job of fixing the chalky look on the paint. The car was resprayed about 22 years ago by the previous owner, so Marco was lucky enough not to have to paint the Charger again.
The Interior was a light green colour with a tan insert, which was not going to suit Marco style, was got the interior retrimmed and carpeted in Black, which gives the car an awesome clean look. Now Marco's Valiant Charger is clearly driven and not hidden on the road. He get to as many car events as possible throughout Melbourne. This Charger is ready to cruise the streets and Marco admits its no power house engine but does the job for him.
Now we get to go Cruising with Marco, Paula and Vinnie from Northern Gal's Car Club through Melbourne streets at Night. Which Dan and I had a fantastic time cruising with the crew to check out a Car event in Melbourne. With 5 muscle cars cruising around the streets of Melbourne, it was awesome. I wish we were more prepared for night time footage with our camera's but we did the best we could.
After the Car Event and cruise, stop for a Melbourne Kebab and pizza to finish the night off before heading home. Thanks to Paula, Vinnie, Marco & Phil from Northern Gal's Car Club for showing us Melbourne, allow us in your rides and the hospitality. Aussie Garage will never forget this experience.
