This is an Armenian folk song of uncertain origins. I arranged this in a broadly East Armenian, archaic style using microtones, nowadays less common in Armenian music but once more prevalent. The instrumentation also includes basic frame drums used in the Caucasus regions of Armenia, as well as a tar and qanun.

Սալդըթները վերեն կուգան,
Հալբաթ Շիշոն ինձի կուտան,

Մարալ Շիշո, ջեյրան Շիշո,
Քեզի տեսա, վառա, Շիշո:

Առնեմ մտնեմ չիլվի օդան,
Մկները մեջը որոտան։

Մարալ Շիշո, ջեյրան Շիշո,
Քեզի տեսա, վառա, Շիշո:

Պաղ աղբըրի ջուրն էր աղի,
Շիշոն տվին բոշի տղի։
