On a desert world still feeling the damage from an ecological collapse, seasoned couriers Mara and Elias must deliver a chem bot to the Jade Sea Restoration Unit before sunset.
When their vehicle fails at the edge of the toxic Pallid Veil, and danger rears its head, the routine delivery becomes a fight through predators and poisoned wilderness — forcing Mara to protect a fragile hope for the world’s future while beginning to imagine a home of her own.
