This incident of dangerous driving has resulted in a prison sentence for Darren Russell, aged 34, of Murdock Road, Bicester.

He was pursued by officers on the evening of Saturday 11 July before being brought to a stop when officers deployed a stopstick.

He was jailed for a total of two years and four months at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday 16 July. He got 14 months for dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance and a further 14 months following activation of a previous suspended sentence for theft.
