This is a short film I made as the final project for my college Filmmaking class. "Man Out of Time" follows Malcolm Raleigh, a young man who gained the inner ability to travel through time. As people across the world search for him, Malcolm struggles to achieve a better future for humanity.
I had the idea for this film over the summer, and decided to make it for my Filmmaking and Screenwriting finals (the script was for the latter, while the project itself was for Filmmaking). As I did with my other college films, I directed, wrote, filmed, edited and scored the film. The film stars Austin Brinser, Gabe Sagherian and Chris Lombardo as Malcolm Raleigh, Bruce and Luther, respectively. Alex Fanelli makes an appearance as Malcolm's friend Peter, while various other actors make cameos. Some "special thanks" to Ninjago voice actors Matt Howell and Lance Newman for lending their voices for the project, and for Michael Behrenshauser for being Malcolm's stand-in during a crucial scene, and Alex Fanelli for filming the credits shot. Couldn't have done the project without them, or any of the cast for that matter.
The second half of the film was also shot on the Lloyd Farmhouse property in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. The historic house was built in the 1750s, and is now on the verge of being demolished. We had the privilege of filming on the property back in December, when plans for the demo first emerged. Hopefully this doesn't come to pass.
