This is a short film that serves as the midterm for my Media Arts II class, for which we had to make a project that shows how we see the world. I chose to make a narrative for my project. The film is set in the distant future; happiness has been forbidden across the world, as people believe it makes others feel disadvantaged. The Anti-Happiness Commission is obligated with upholding this ban. In the film, officer Adrian Romeli carries out a mission unlike any he's done before - one that tests his will and brings him face-to-face with a person from his past.
As I did with my Media Arts I projects, I directed, wrote, filmed, edited and scored the film. The film stars Gabe Sagherian, Austin Brinser and Michael Behrenshauser as Adrian Romeli, Damien and Andrew Butler, respectively. Michael Robinson, Luke Johnson, Kyle Carozzi, Jacob Huber and Sean Larkin all make cameos in the film. Jack Morris, who voices Cole in my Ninjago films, has a vocal cameo as a radio host.
