One of the most common questions I get about the History Channel's show Alone, is about making primitive arrows in the wilderness. Participants on the survival show are allowed to take 9 arrows only and, when bow hunting small game like grouse and squirrels, they're easy to lose. In this video I'll show you how to make primitive arrows like I did on Alone Season 8. For a long term survival or wilderness living situation, knowing how to build and maintain a functional primitive bow and arrow might be a crucial survival skill. For these primitive arrows I'll use natural shoot shafts and grouse feathers. The tips will be simple fire hardened wood. They're not too difficult to make and they're very effective for small game hunting.
