This week is all about cameras, or camera lenses.

For almost a decade I have used cameras that exclusively use the EF/EF-S mount. All of my lenses use either one of these mounts and all of them are modern lenses. I like modern lenses, they are sharp, colour accurate and have good focusing.

Even so, I still have a bunch of vintage lenses that I would like to try out, and if possible, I would like to try using some anamorphic lenses (although they are probably not suited to the footage I need for this channel). They are cheaper and have a certain vintage look that is difficult to replicate on modern lenses.

The issue I have is that the mount is different, M42, rather than EF/EF-S. I need to make an adapter. Easy and straightforward.

I will make it from some aluminium, turn it on the lathe, and cut the details on the mill using the dividing head.
