Historical Belle | Making an 1840's Jane Eyre Inspired Dress Part 2: The Skirt @HistoricalBelle | Uploaded July 2020 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
In this sewing vlog I go through how I made the skirt for my 1840's Jane Eyre inspired dress. I've never done cartridge pleats before, but I now love them! I learned a lot making this dress. I try to get better and learn something new with each dress I create and I believe I accomplished that with this project.
I decided to make this dress after seeing a painting of Jane Eyre by @Sleightholmfolk. I've always love Jane Eyre ever since reading it in High School. Jane has such a quiet determination that I admire.
