In this YouTube Short music production tutorial, I outline the process I use to make 8-Bit drums for chiptune music combining the noise channel and the triangle channel in FamiTracker. This is a fun music technique that I use to give my chip tunes a more engaging sound. It also works great for getting sound of the original NES gaming system for songs you make in other genres.

![Cid Highwinds Theme ✇ FFVII [Synth Cover]
This is a cover of Cid Highwinds Theme from Final Fantasy 7. It is very heavily inspired by the composer Vangelis, and his soundtracks to films like Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire. The idea was to make a full orchestral arrangement, but to use vintage synths instead of orchestral instruments. Most of the synths are CS-80s (Vangelis synth of choice), and I also made use of the LX-24 reverb (also a Vangelis favorite). The arrangement is one big crescendo, getting bigger each during each section.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars[a] is a role-playing video game developed by Square and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1996.[b] It was the final Mario game published for the SNES. The game was directed by Chihiro Fujioka and Yoshihiko Maekawa, produced by Shigeru Miyamoto, and scored by Yoko Shimomura.
Super Mario RPGs story focuses on Mario and his friends as they seek to defeat the Smithy Gang, who has crashed into their world and scattered the seven star pieces of Star Road. Super Mario RPG is the first RPG in the Mario franchise, drawing from major elements of Squares RPG franchises such as Final Fantasy. The main form of fighting enemies is turn-based combat with a party of up to three characters. It is also the first game in the Mario franchise to have gameplay within an isometric 3D environment, allowing for a new variety of the exploration and platforming elements reminiscent of the Super Mario series.
Super Mario RPG was critically acclaimed, and particularly praised for its humor and 3D-rendered graphics. It was the inspiration for Nintendos other role-playing series, Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi, and both are spiritual successors which retain some gameplay elements. Super Mario RPG was released on the Wii Virtual Console service in 2008, marking its debut in Europe and Australia, and later for the Wii Us Virtual Console in 2015. It was also included with the Super NES Classic Edition in 2017. A remake developed by ArtePiazza for the Nintendo Switch was released worldwide on November 17, 2023, and received positive reviews.

Frank Vincent Zappa[nb 1] (December 21, 1940 – December 4, 1993) was an American musician, composer, and bandleader. His work is characterized by nonconformity, free-form improvisation, sound experimentation, musical virtuosity and satire of American culture.[2] In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa composed rock, pop, jazz, jazz fusion, orchestral and musique concrète works; he also produced almost all of the 60-plus albums that he released with his band the Mothers of Invention and as a solo artist.[3] Zappa also directed feature-length films and music videos, and designed album covers. He is considered one of the most innovative and stylistically diverse musicians of his generation.[4][5]
As a self-taught composer and performer, Zappa had diverse musical influences that led him to create music that was sometimes difficult to categorize. While in his teens, he acquired a taste for 20th-century classical modernism, African-American rhythm and blues, and doo-wop music.[6] He began writing classical music in high school, while at the same time playing drums in rhythm and blues bands, later switching to electric guitar. His debut studio album with the Mothers of Invention, Freak Out! (1966), combined songs in conventional rock and roll format with collective improvisations and studio-generated sound collages. He continued this eclectic and experimental approach whether the fundamental format was rock, jazz, or classical.
Zappas output is unified by a conceptual continuity he termed Project/Object, with numerous musical phrases, ideas, and characters reappearing across his albums.[2] His lyrics reflected his iconoclastic views of established social and political processes, structures and movements, often humorously so, and he has been described as the godfather of comedy rock.[7] He was a strident critic of mainstream education and organized religion, and a forthright and passionate advocate for freedom of speech, self-education, political participation and the abolition of censorship. Unlike many other rock musicians of his generation, he disapproved of recreational drug use, but supported decriminalization and regulation.
Zappa was a highly productive and prolific artist with a controversial critical standing; supporters of his music admired its compositional complexity, while detractors found it lacking emotional depth. He had greater commercial success outside the US, particularly in Europe. Though he worked as an independent artist, Zappa mostly relied on distribution agreements he had negotiated with the major record labels. He remains a major influence on musicians and composers. His many honors include his posthumous 1995 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the 1997 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. #frankzappa talks about Orchestration](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ve24iuWDpZs/mqdefault.jpg)
