My transcription of Mike Clark's drumming for the intro of "Actual Proof" by Herbie Hancock from his 1974 album "Thrust." This ground breaking track features a prime example of the linear funk drumming style. Mike's Clark has cited different influences ranging from bebop drummers like Max Roach, to funk drummers like Clyde Stubblefiled and Gaylord Birch.
The audio for this video was made by using Ableton Live's stem separation feature. I recorded to the original track, then extracted the original drum part, and remixed the original with my recorded drums.
