Taking care of cattle involves feeding minerals and treating them to keep flies, ticks and other pests off them. My son-in-law had built a temporary cattle rub with a mineral feeder inside. The concept worked well. But, the temporary structure was not durable enough to stand up against the cattle's natural tendency to rub against it. So, we decided to build a permanent structure.

This is the first part of that build.
