We have lived at Sassafras Valley for nearly 35 years. In that time, we have always had Bluebird Houses around the property. Our estimate is that over 300 baby Bluebirds have hatched here over the years.
Through trial and error, I have developed a Bluebird House that is inexpensive, easy to make, squirrel proof and most of all, very effective at attracting only Bluebirds. I make them in batches of 10. These replace any that get broken or too old to make it through another season.
We also give them to all of our neighbors so they too can enjoy having Bluebirds around. It is a great way to welcome and meet new neighbors that move into our neighborhood.
