Sharpening is often elusive in astrophotography where we image Deep Sky Objects thousands to millions of light years away. DSOs are dim; they are gaseous; they are hazy. They often seem determined to defy sharpening. But by dividing out the sharpness information into its own layer and synergistically applying the power of the UnsharpMask, Clarity Tool and High Pass Filter, you can take sharpening of DSOs further.
