You don't need scripts or special software to make mosaics. And knowing how to make them yourself makes common problems such as images that refuse to plate solve, color and luminance imbalances, and borders that won't blend seamlessly become non-issues. It's a surprisingly fast and straightforward process that I find often yields superior results.
