How to Make a Simple Planer Sled for Flattening Boards / No Jointer Needed
Good Saturday morning, everyone! If you’ve been following along, you know that I picked up a bunch of fourth-quarter cherry for only $2.29 a board foot. I made this simple planer sled to flatten the boards and it worked great… Sometimes less is more. This sled is super uncomplicated and for the most part, I used some hot glue to hold the boards in place and act as a wedge. This thing worked great and it was a fun satisfying day in the shop planing down the rough sawn boards to see the wood grain inside. If you don’t have a big shop with big equipment, I highly recommend this simple sled. Thanks for watching and Have a great weekend, Jon
