This video is one of three videos that can be used to investigate variables that affect the size of the magnetic force on a wire when current is flowing through it. The three videos use the lab apparatus to investigate how the size of the current, the length of the wire, and the relative strength of the external magnetic field affect the magnitude of the magnetic force. See below for the data collection videos used to complete each of the 3 investigations. There is also a video below that discusses how the lab apparatus is used to determine the size of the magnetic force on the wire when current is flowing through it.
