I vividly remember the first time I heard this song. It was actually a cover of it, done by two seniors during a school assembly when I was in high school. I was a freshman, so it was dumbfounding to me that highschooler could sound SO GOOD! Ill never forget it.
That day, I went home, turned on the radio, and listened until it came on. Its been a favorite of mine ever since.
My version definitely isnt a hard rock version, but I couldnt hear a hard version in my head, so this is what came out.

I wrote this song the day I got laid off from my job a week ago yesterday. They just didnt have enough work for me, so they couldnt keep me on. If youve ever had a life-jolt, you know what it feels like, and it doesnt feel good.
For me, the choice is always the same. Do I continue on in faith, or do I retreat into solitude and sulk in self-pity?
